SilkySoftware provides custom software engineering and systems administration. This policy outlines how we handle your data with care. We collect only what is strictly necessary to build your software, configure your infrastructure, and process invoices. We never monetize or sell your data.
1. Information we collect
To coordinate our technical partnership, we collect your primary contact details, Discord username, and billing records. During development, we may also require temporary access to technical infrastructure, including API tokens, database connection strings, server SSH credentials, and code repositories.
2. How we use your information
Discord serves as our primary operational channel for sprint updates and direct engineering discussions. Email is used for administrative records such as milestone invoicing. We use your technical credentials strictly to architect, test, and deploy your software environments.
3. Security & credential handling
We handle client infrastructure with strict engineering discipline. We never store root passwords or private API tokens in unencrypted chat channels. Secrets are injected through encrypted vaults and scoped environment variables throughout development.
4. Third-party services
We do not share your project details with external advertising networks. We work exclusively with trusted infrastructure partners (such as GitHub, Discord, Stripe, and cloud hosting platforms) to manage builds and payments. All data processed through these services follows their respective security guidelines.
5. Data retention & revoking access
Upon milestone delivery and final handover, we promptly purge our access credentials to your production servers unless an ongoing maintenance contract is in place. You may request the full deletion of your contact data at any time by contacting us on Discord or via email.
