Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 4/17/2026
SilkySoftware provides custom software development and system administration services. This policy explains how we handle your information. We collect only what is strictly necessary to build your product, configure your infrastructure, and process payments. We do not sell data.
1. Information We Collect
To establish our technical partnership, we collect your Discord username, email address, and billing details. During development, we also require access to technical assets. This includes API keys, server credentials, database strings, and existing source code.
2. How We Use Your Data
Discord is our primary operational channel. We use your Discord handle for daily technical discussions and project management. Email serves as a secondary channel for administrative purposes only, such as invoicing. Technical credentials are used exclusively to architect, deploy, and test your software.
3. Security & Credentials Management
We handle your infrastructure with an engineering-first mindset. We do not leave API keys or root passwords in plaintext chat logs. Credentials are managed using secure environment variables and encrypted vaults during the development lifecycle.
4. Third-Party Services
We do not share your project details with marketing agencies or data brokers. We rely on trusted third-party platforms (such as GitHub, Discord, Stripe, and cloud providers) to run our operations. Data shared with these platforms is governed by their respective privacy policies.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Once a milestone or project is completed and handed over, we revoke our access to your production systems unless an ongoing maintenance agreement is active. You may request the deletion of your administrative contact data at any time by opening a Discord ticket or emailing us.
